Mr. Chairman, Mr. Stark, and distinguished members of the Committee: Thank you for inviting me to share my views on the growing phenomenon of physicians providing care outside of insurance. This is a timely hearing and I hope to bring a different perspective to the Committee's consideration of the crucial role of health insurance in protecting Americans' health and financial well-being.
